Godiva – Retail Design and Experience
The team at Wubuki were delighted to be commissioned with the development of a new retail design and experience for this prestigious house of chocolate. As a truly global brand, with over 90 years heritage as ‘the’ luxury Belgium Chocolatiers, our brief was to create a retail experience that resonated with new audiences, without alienating their core customer base.
We created a warm, rich and inviting space, where the bars and fixtures float up from the floor on a gradient of gold-backed, chocolate tones. Through the definition of clearly navigable zones we encouraged a natural ‘pull’ through the space, guiding customers through Godiva’s broad range of offerings and services. Our scheme also set out a new retail strategy which redefined the ‘Godiva shopping experience’. Through the development of digital systems and on-site tools we offered customers the freedom to independently explore, navigate, sample, consume and purchase.
