ALPHA STAIR LIFT
We were thrilled to be engaged by Lehner Lifttechnik to support their first product release into the stair-lift sector.
Thorough analysis of this competitive sector, (its trends, demographics and competing product solutions) we distilled key features and requirements into a specification that would differentiate their product, gain traction and consolidate segments of market share.
Through the lens of this specification, we began crafting initial design directions and concepts. By means of focused design development and an iterative process of analysis and feedback with our client, our final concept solidified.
We then set about formalizing this concept into engineered parametric CAD models. Our team was able to efficiently explore and evaluate multiple design solutions through a range of 3D simulations and studies. This platform enabled the exploration of a myriad of interdependent relationships between mechanics, ergonomics, engineering, material properties and manufacturing techniques.
The conclusions of this detailed design phase were then refined through a process of physical prototyping and testing. Combining 3D printed parts and bespoke components – in conjunction with Lehner Lifttechnik’s in-house manufacturing facilities – we developed, refined and honed a series of functioning prototypes.
With the final design ‘signed off’ and production drawings completed, we produced product visualizations for application across a range of marketing materials. Whilst the manufacturing partners geared up for their first production runs, our marketing imagery increased customer awareness and generated pre-orders, enabling a smooth and rapid conversion from production to sales.
